It has been a busy and successful first week here at Pioneer Park! Thank you to our community for your partnership as we welcome students beginning or returning to school. I have enjoyed seeing smiling faces on students and educators alike this week. Pioneer Park is filled with warm and positive energy!
As with anything new there can be bumps in the road. Thank you for your patience as bus timings become more punctual and consistent. Please connect with Student Transportation Services of Waterloo Region if you have any questions or concerns about busing as this is a service that the school is not involved in.
Each public school in Ontario has a Safe, Caring and Inclusive Schools Committee (SCIS). This committee is responsible for promoting a positive school climate for all members of the school community. If you are a caregiver and would be interested in becoming a member of this committee, please reach out to me directly via email: christina_elmslie@wrdsb.ca
Panther hockey is back! This opportunity to play hockey Monday and Thursday evenings is completely free of charge to our Pioneer Park students-this includes the hockey equipment and the ice time. Mr. Sanderson will be sending out forms to participate in this program on Monday September 14, 2026. Please return the forms if your child is interested in participating as soon as possible. Looking forward to next week, please know that you are most welcome at our ‘Meet the Team’ event on Tuesday. Mr. Sanderson will be at the school to answer any questions you may have about Panther hockey. And, please don’t forget that the School Council takes place on Wednesday next week too!

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation/Orange Shirt Day: Wednesday September 30, 2026
