Welcome Back!  We are ready for another exciting school year!

A question I am asked a lot at this time of year is, “How many books can I sign out?”   The answer is:

JK & SK students:  up to 2 books
Grade 1 and 2 students:  up to 3 books
Grade 3, 4, 5, and 6 students:  up to 4 books

Library books are borrowed for up to three weeks.   If you need to have your books longer than three weeks, see Mrs. Fohring.

Please note the book care information below.  If your child is careful with his/her library books they will be enjoyable to all students for a long time.  A cared for library book can be enjoyed by as many as 25 readers.

Students in JK, SK, Grade 1, 2, and 3 will receive a Library Book Bag at no cost.  These bags will help students in carrying books home from school and then back to school again.  It will also provide a visual reminder for library day!

bookBOOK CARE:

Please encourage your child to return his/her books on time.  Here are some tips to keep our library books in the best possible condition so they can be enjoyed by many, many readers.

        • Return  your books on time
        • Use a book bag
        • Keep your books away from food and beverages
        • Keep your books away from siblings and pets

If your book is lost or damaged you may be asked to pay for it.  We charge $5.00 for a softcover and $10.00 for a hardcover. If a lost book is found and returned at a later date, your money is refunded.
